• Jim Cornette Bashes Recent AEW Match, Says It Embarrassed The Wrestling Business

On a recent episode of his podcast, Old School WWF Manager Jim Cornette bashed the recent ‘No Rules Match’ between WWF Legend Chris Jericho and Indy Veteran Nick Gage.

Here’s what Cornette had to say:

“For the main event of the evening, AEW managed to blow something even better than Marilyn Chambers ever did because they managed to blow one of their sponsorships. We’ll talk about that in a minute.

But for the garbage wrestling championship of the universe I guess, ‘The Painmaker’ Chris Jericho faced the bank addicted drug robber on national television and, I had alternating emotions as I felt sad for Chris, I was embarrassed for the wrestling business.

I even at some points felt bad for some of the people in their locker room, even though they brought this on themselves AEW, some of the guys back there had to be going ‘Oh, come on. What the f**k?’ It’s just, it’s embarrassing.

The guy that tried to get in the ring the other week on live TV looked like more of a threat to Jericho than this guy.”

Y2J’s next opponent is scheduled to be WCW Veteran Juventud Guerrera on tonight’s Homecoming special episode of AEW Dynamite.
