Former WCW Wrestler, Konnan, revealed on his podcast that Jim Ross was in talks with El Ray & AAA’s Lucha Underground. He said that he doesn’t know if JR would join Matt Striker and Vampiro on the commentary or make a different combo.
Lucha Underground was interesting in JR from the beginning and always wanted him as a full-time commentator while AAA also wants JR to announce their English language PPVs.
JR recently announced NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 9 PPV which was presented by Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling.
