• John Cena Made History 8 Years Ago Today

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on 2012, WWE Monday Night RAW’s 1000th episode took place at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri with 18,308 fans in attendance. This show marked the beginning of permanent 3 hour Raws.

On this show, DX reunited, The Rock announced that he will wrestle the WWE Champion at Royal Rumble 2013, The Undertaker returned, John Cena became the first person ever to unsuccessfully cash-in the Money in the Bank briefcase (didn’t win a World Title after cashing-in the contract), and CM Punk turned heel.

– John Cena def. CM Punk via DQ after Big Show interfered. Punk retained the title. The Rock came out to save Cena from Big Show, but Punk ended up attacking The Rock and turned heel.
