7. Dixie Carter Talks About WWE Signing Former TNA Talent
During a recent interview with The Associated Press, TNA President Dixie Carter talked about the new era of TNA with POP TV, WWE signing former TNA talent, James Storm returning back to the company & more. Below are the highlights:
On WWE signing TNA’s former talent:
“We’ve always been criticized about taking WWE talent, and I think it’s pretty interesting how the roles have been reversed. Our competitors, our competition have been after our talent.”
On James Storm returning to TNA Wrestling:
“A lot of times they come back. The grass isn’t always greener and what we have here is very special.”
6. Why Did James Storm Turn Down WWE NXT Contract & Return To TNA?
James Storm turned down WWE NXT contract and returned to TNA because a low money contract was offered from WWE. On the other hand, TNA offered him about twice as much as WWE offered him.
This led to Storm signing a 2 year deal with TNA Wrestling. According to his TNA contract, he would also get his share of merchandise revenue.
5. Ascension’s Konnor Suffers Jaw Injury
Konnor, one half of The Ascension, recently suffered a Jaw injury, where he suffered a dislocation. His recovery time is unknown at the moment.
