• Kevin Nash Apologizes For His Comments About RAW Wrestler

On his Kliq This podcast, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash commended 21-year-old RAW wrestler Je’Von Evans for his athletic ability and striking, but criticized his lighthearted presentation as being “too Mr. Bojangles” and lacking edge, suggesting he show more grit.

The comments drew swift backlash online, with fans labeling them racially insensitive and pointing to historical stereotypes associated with Bill “Bojangles” Robinson.

Nash ended up issuing an apology:

“How often have you heard the term Uncle Tom? Most likely, it was used in a degrading way. If you’ve actually read the literature, Uncle Tom was whipped to death for helping free two female slaves.

I apologize for the use of the term Mr Bogangles, it was in poor taste and obviously offensive. I just see talent being pushed in a direction that I disagree with.

He should be the male version of Sol Ruca. More contemporary than urban. It’s funny how I’m usually the only person who pays attention to the development of black talent.”

• Big Update On Chris Jericho’s AEW Status, Mystery Crate Status From RAW

The appearance of a mysterious “do not open” crate on the February 16 episode of Monday Night RAW has sent the wrestling world into a frenzy, with many fans convinced that Chris Jericho is the one inside. However, despite the intense rumors of a Y2J return to WWE for WrestleMania 42, the legal reality behind the scenes tells a different story.

Contrary to the belief that his contract expired at the end of 2025, reports from Fightful Select indicate that Jericho remains firmly under contract with AEW.

While his original 2022 extension was slated to end in late 2025, those close to the situation believe the deal was frozen after Jericho took an extended hiatus in 2025 to focus on outside projects and his band, Fozzy. In the world of wrestling contracts, freezing effectively pauses the clock, adding missed time onto the back end of the deal and preventing a talent from hitting free agency on their original schedule.

Several red flags suggest that a WWE return is not as imminent as the mystery box might imply:

The Roster Page: Jericho remains listed as an active talent on the official AEW website. Typically, AEW is quick to remove departures (such as Royce Keys, formerly Powerhouse Hobbs) once they are officially gone.

Internal Memos: No internal departure memos — standard practice for AEW exits — have been circulated regarding the inaugural AEW World Champion.

The Jericho Cruise: Interestingly, the lineup for the November 2026 Jericho Cruise currently features zero AEW-contracted talent. While this fueled speculation that he was leaving, it may simply reflect the uncertainty of his frozen contract’s new end date.

While Jericho has reportedly mentioned an openness to returning to WWE, he remains cautious about the corporate restrictions that come with it. A major sticking point is his desire to maintain his various outside ventures — including his music career and independent podcasts — which often clash with WWE’s strict third-party and exclusivity policies.

As of now, the crate delivered to Adam Pearce is labeled for February 28, the night of Elimination Chamber in Chicago. While the city is the site of Jericho’s iconic 1999 WWF debut, his current contractual freeze in All Elite Wrestling makes him the ultimate long shot to step out of that box.
