• Kevin Nash Explains Why He Lost To Rey Mysterio Clean In WCW

WWF/WCW Legend Kevin Nash recently joined his co-host Sean Oliver for a special edition of their weekly podcast on AdFreeShows, where they did a watch-along of the WCW Starrcade 1998 main event, in which Nash ended Bill Goldberg’s famous 173–0 winning streak and defeated the former Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

During the watch-along, Kevin spoke about the time when he became the Booker for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling several weeks after the Starrcade PPV (as opposed to reports that claimed he booked himself to end Goldberg’s streak).

Here’s what the former ‘Big Daddy Cool’ Diesel had to say:

“That was the biggest problem we had because everybody wanted to book their own sh*t. I went out and put Rey Mysterio over, like when I first started booking.

I booked myself to put over Rey and I put him over clean. The reason I did that was like, if the second-biggest guy in the territory could put over the smallest guy in the territory, I don’t wanna hear anything about clean finishes.”
