• Kurt Angle Says WWE Made Braun Strowman Look Like An Idiot

In the main event of Survivor Series 2017, Team RAW (Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, and Triple H) defeated Team SmackDown (Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, and John Cena).

The stipulation of this match was that Angle would’ve been fired from his RAW General Manager position had his team lost.

During this match, Triple H pedigreed Kurt Angle, who was on his own team. This led to Braun Strowman laying out The Game.

This angle led to Triple H & Stephanie McMahon vs. Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34, and Strowman wasn’t involved at all.

On his podcast, Angle said WWE made Strowman look like an idiot with this booking, and that WWE should’ve done a HHH vs. Strowman feud:

“It was used to help build the match between Ronda, myself, and Triple H & Stephanie. So I understand why they planted the seed, I just don’t agree with what they did with Braun there.

I understand [Triple H] giving me the Pedigree, screw me over… that made sense. But the thing with Braun Strowman of him hanging there high and dry made him look like an idiot.

Braun’s a very valuable asset. He should’ve never left WWE. Should’ve never happened. The guy knows how to wrestle, he knows how to talk, he looks great, he’s a 350 pound monster. You don’t let a guy like that go.

I don’t know how or why that happened. Maybe it was for money reasons, I don’t know. But Braun Strowman’s back in the right place. He needs to be in WWE. That’s where he deserves to be.”
