Old School Wrestling Veteran “The Italian Stallion” Gary Sabaugh celebrates his 61st birthday today.
As The Italian Stallion he did televised jobs during the 80s & early 90s on NWA/WCW shows and even went on to wrestle in Japan in between.
In the mid-90s he joined the World Wrestling Federation, where he was used as a ‘Jobber To The Stars’ again.+
While working for the WWF, he helped bringing in The Hardy Boyz, Matt & Jeff Hardy.

• Kurt Angle’s Original WrestleMania 34 Plans Revealed
Jon Robison, who got backstage access at WrestleMania 34 as he wrote the book “Creating the Mania: An Inside Look at How WrestleMania Comes to Life”, appeared on the Smark to Death podcast and revealed original plans for Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 34.
Below is what Jon said:
“They were really gonna do Kurt Angle vs Jason Jordan and this was gonna put Jason Jordan over huge and make him a top star. Then Jason Jordan gets injured, that’s another big change. Then what do you do with Kurt? Then obviously he gets thrown into an even bigger match.
It’s crazy to see everything change from what I’m being told, to watching the show, then going back and talking to them again. Having that kind of access was incredible, especially for someone like me who has been a huge fan since I was a little kid.”
