5. Blood And Guts
Back in 2019, Vince McMahon said on a WWE conference call that AEW was featuring Blood and Guts content which TNT may not tolerate. He told journalists that they would improve WWE last year, but won’t “do blood and guts and things of that nature, such as what is being done on our new potential competitor (AEW).”
In response to these comments from McMahon, AEW had planned a “Blood & Guts” match for a special episode of Dynamite on March 25th, 2020 in Newark, New Jersey. However, it got postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and a new date is yet to be announced.
The match was supposed to take place inside 2-rings covered by a steel cage (AEW’s version of War Games) between The Inner Circle and The Elite.
