1. Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Jinder Mahal – WWE Championship Match
Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to retain the WWE Championship in what was the match of the night at Money In The Bank.
What made things even more interesting was that McIntyre and Rollins shook hands after the match, which was a sign that their rivalry has ended.
There’s a possibility that McIntyre’s next opponent will be his former Tag Team partner, Jinder Mahal. The Modern Day Maharaja returned to RAW a few weeks back, and he was made to look pretty strong.
Mahal teased going after the WWE Champion on last week’s RAW, by saying that he’s going to be on a hero’s journey like Drew McIntyre.
In addition, Backlash is the pay-per-view where Mahal won his first WWE Championship, so he could use that fact to try to get another Title shot.
