The WWE Backlash pay-per-view is once again returning after a gap of one year. The event last took place in 2018, after which WWE scrapped it in 2019.
This year, it’s set to take place on June 14th, at an unknown location. It will most likely take place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, unless WWE has some cinematic matches planned for the event.
In this article, let’s take a look at 9 matches that might happen at Backlash 2020.
9. The Street Profits (c) vs. The Viking Raiders – RAW Tag Team Championship Match
RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits challenged The Viking Raiders to a non-Title match last week on RAW. After a pretty good match, Erik and Ivar managed to pin the RAW Tag Team Champions.
As The Viking Raiders already got a win on RAW last week, they’ll be looking to challenge Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins for the Titles.
Their feud continued on last week’s RAW, where they had a Basketball match. The feud is expected to continue until next month, with The Viking Raiders getting their Title shot at Backlash 2020.
8. Sonya Deville vs. Mandy Rose
Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville have been trying to take each other out after what happened at WrestleMania 36. Deville cost Rose an opportunity to participate in this year’s Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match and brutalized her after it.
The former best friends faced off on SmackDown two weeks back, and Deville defeated God’s Greatest Creation via a roll-up.
The rivalry is far from over, so we can expect it to continue in the coming weeks. Rose will be looking to make it 1-1 with her former best friend.
Mandy will team up with Otis to take on the team of Sonya & Dolph Ziggler in a mixed tag team match on the next episode of SmackDown.
We can expect their next singles encounter to be at Backlash 2020.
