The WCW Legend was last seen in a ring at WrestleMania 36 earlier this year, where he dropped the Universal Championship to Braun Strowman on night 1 of the event.
Goldberg was originally set to defend the Title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36, but that couldn’t happen due to The Tribal Chief pulling out of the event due to personal issues, which is why Goldberg wants to return to continue their feud from where they left it.
While today’s fans don’t really appreciate legends being involved in the Title picture, WWE may have Goldberg return and even win the Royal Rumble match to give them a much needed boost in the ratings.
21. Io Shirai
NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai is a top star from the black and gold brand who could represent it at the Royal Rumble.
The Genius Of The Sky could surely perform some entertaining spots for the fans in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
20. Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe has been out of action for most of 2020 due to a concussion he suffered while filming a RAW commercial at the start of the year.
It has been quite some time since he stepped inside the ring, so he could return anytime now. Besides, RAW wrestler MVP said in an interview a couple of months ago that Joe will be back soon.
There’s a possibility that the Samoan Submission Machine finally leaves the commentary desk and enters the ring at the Royal Rumble.
