WWE Survivor Series 2023 could feature some massive moments!
14-Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton is currently out of action with a back injury.
He hasn’t wrestled since May 2022 and was written off WWE programming after a vicious storyline assault led by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns along with The Bloodline.
The Viper underwent a lower back fusion surgery, which resulted in the original plan for the SummerSlam 2022 main event being canceled – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
As we reported before, Orton has been training at the WWE Performance Center for a while now.
Fightful Select then reported that WWE sources continue to insist that Orton isn’t close to making an in-ring return, that’s why his arrival at the Performance Center wasn’t hidden. When a wrestler is scheduled to make a surprise return, WWE usually hides their public appearances until they return on TV.
On last night’s episode of SmackDown, LA Knight defeated Jimmy Uso via Disqualification in the main event after Solo Sikoa interfered and attacked Knight.
John Cena then ran out to make the save for Knight. The Judgment Day came out and Paul Heyman shook hands with Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, which was a hint that Roman Reigns has given Heyman the authorization to have Bloodline join forces with Judgment Day.
Judgment Day was then about to attack Knight and Cena, but Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes came out to even the odds. The babyfaces then took out the heels.
The face-off between the babyfaces and the heels was likely WWE planting seeds for a WarGames match at Survivor Series in November between Team Cena/Cody and the team of Bloodline and Judgment Day.
According to insider source BWE, Cena could make a call to a friend in late November, which has sparked speculation about Randy Orton possibly making his return to the ring at Survivor Series.
Orton returning to go after The Bloodline would make sense, as they took him out when he was last seen on television.
