• Major Reason Why The Rock vs. Roman Reigns Might Not Happen
Since Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship and started calling himself the “Tribal Chief”, there has been speculation about a possible feud between Roman Reigns and The Rock.
The two men have already stated on social media that they’re ready to face each other.
In a recent interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Reigns’ Special Counsel, Paul Heyman, said that it was The Rock who called out Reigns, and not the other way around.
The Wrestling Observer noted that even if WWE has plans to do Rock vs. Reigns in the future, they might face an obstacle in it in the form of the insurance deal The Great One has signed with movies he’s going to act in.
As movie companies don’t want him to get injured because it would lead to production being stopped, it would be hard to convince them for a possible return to the ring. This is the reason why Rock hasn’t wrestled a full-fledged match in 7 years.
It was also noted that there were plans of The Rock vs. Triple H, The Rock and Ronda Rousey vs. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon and The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar in the past couple of years, but none of them happened because of Rock’s Hollywood commitments.
