• Old School Wrestling Legend Would’ve Celebrated His Birthday
Today would have been the 94th birthday of AWA Wrestling Legend Verne Gagne.
Verne used to be a multiple time amateur wrestling champion and even represented the United States Olympic Team at the 1948 Olympic Games.
Most Old School Wrestling fans remember Gagne as the promoter of the legendary ‘American Wrestling Association’ territory, including his 10 title reigns as their World Heavyweight Champion.
In 2006, Verne Gagne was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his son Greg Gagne, the night before WrestleMania 22, years after he was already inducted into the short-lived WCW Hall of Fame in 1993.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY & † REST IN PEACE

• Matt Hardy Could End Up In NXT
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has offered Matt Hardy a role in NXT if he stays with the company and signs a new deal.
Johnson noted that expectation is that Hardy is going to re-sign with WWE:
“By the way we have had a lot of questions about Matt Hardy. His contract is scheduled to be up on March 1st which is this Sunday.
A lot of people have asked me what he’s going to be doing, this is just my theory. I know that WWE has made a lot of overtures to him in the last could of weeks.
There’s been some talk of him working in the NXT system somehow. My gut feeling is that Matt Hardy will probably stay.”
With a hand of days remaining, nothing is yet written in stone. Every major player is currently on the board, everyone’s at the table.
I must rePROCURE.
I must be RESURRECTED.
I must seek out my ARCADIA.Then what’s NeXT? #FreeTheDELETE https://t.co/XoNpVyMzC4 pic.twitter.com/jVmjVaJuKF
