• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WCW Veteran Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker (Real name: DeWayne Bruce) celebrates his 57th birthday today.
DeWayne Bruce wrestled for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling from 1989 until 2001.
As Buddy Lee Parker he was mostly used as a jobber, that was sometimes teamed up with fellow undercard talent Lt. James Earl Wright and together they were known as ‘The State Patrol’.
Later on he became a member of Kevin Sullivan’s Dungeon of Doom stable, where he was known as Braun The Leprechaun.
Most people remember Bruce as the head coach of WCW’s very own wrestling school, the famous Power Plant, which was a similar facility as the WWE’s current Performance Center.

• Matt Riddle Spoils Goldberg’s SummerSlam 2019 Match, Wants To Make It A Triple Threat
WWE announced that Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz will take place at SummerSlam 2019 PPV.
However, this match will not take place.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Ziggler vs. Miz match announcement is a “red herring” (distraction) and that this match will eventually get changed.
It was also noted that Shawn Michaels won’t be Ziggler’s opponent (even after Ziggler attacking Michaels on SmackDown).
Some people then began quoting that Meltzer reported Goldberg will now be the one to face Ziggler (since Ziggler was taking shots at him).
While Meltzer never said anything about Goldberg, Goldberg is indeed set to make a return to the ring this month to face Ziggler as backstage people in WWE themselves confirmed it to Meltzer.
Below is what Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio:
“It’s just a funny story about how this all transpired. As you know, I’ve said that Dolph Ziggler has an opponent, I just don’t know who it was. I was just told that it’s not The Miz and it’s not Shawn Michaels.
So, thank you to these idiots because I got a call from someone in WWE who was talking to me about ‘How did you know it was Bill Goldberg?’ They didn’t realize that I said I didn’t know because all these people had said that, but I never said it in the first place.
So, in fact, it is Bill Goldberg, and that’s how I found out. Isn’t that wonderful?”
It should be noted that WWE hasn’t announced this match and wants it to be an impromptu/surprise match.
However, NXT wrestler Matt Riddle (who disrespected Goldberg after WWE Super ShowDown) spoiled it on Instagram and wants to be added to that match.
