• More On Sasha Banks Getting Released From WWE

Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of RAW one month ago, and now one of them is done with WWE.

According to Raj Giri of Wrestlinginc, Sasha has been released from WWE.

It was further reported that Sasha got her lawyers involved and there had been eyes on a physical WWE release.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast reported that he also heard last week that Sasha’s attorneys were working on getting her release from WWE.

WWE hasn’t officially announced Sasha’s release yet.

Below are Sasha’s accomplishments from her 10 year run in WWE (including NXT):

– 5x RAW Women’s Champion

– 1x SmackDown Women’s Champion

– 3x WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion

– 1x NXT Women’s Champion

– WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champion

– WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion

– Main Evented WrestleMania 37 – Night 1

– Competed in the 1st ever Women’s Hell in a Cell match

• Old School Wrestling Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 75th birthday of Old School Wrestling Veteran Buddy “Jack” Roberts (Real name: Dale Hey).

Buddy Roberts wrestled for several different territories during his career, such as World Class Championship Wrestling, Mid-South Wrestling, the American Wrestling Association, the World Wrestling Federation and various others.

Most Old School Wrestling fans remember Buddy for being a member of Michael Hayes’ famous faction ‘The Fabulous Freebirds’ from 1979 until 1988.

Along with the other Freebirds Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy (†) & Jimmy Garvin, he was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016.
