• Murphy’s WWE TV Return Affected Due To Recent Release

WWE recently released SmackDown wrestler Steve Cutler (who used to be a part of The Forgotten Sons).

According to the Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon was furious after Cutler tested positive for COVID-19 after his New Year’s Eve party.

Vince wasn’t happy because he promised a safe working environment to top stars like Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens, and Cutler’s negligence at his party put others in WWE at risk.

Cutler tweeted the following about his release:

“Unfortunately, today I was released. It was shocking, to say the least. But, I am excited about the future and all the possibilities in front of me.

Thanks for your continued support.

90 days… the countdown begins.”

According to the Wrestling Observer, Cutler’s released resulted in Murphy’s WWE TV return being delayed.

Murphy hasn’t been seen on TV for a while. There were plans for King Corbin and Knights of the Lone Wolf (Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler) to feud with Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio and Murphy, but those plans have been dropped after Cutler’s release.
