Nikki Bella is opening up about life after divorce, and she’s revealing two major developments: she’ll be spending Thanksgiving with her ex-husband, Artem Chigvintsev, for the sake of their son, and she’s now finally ready to let romance back into her life.
During her interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nikki explained that her holiday plans this year include her former husband – a surprising arrangement given their difficult split just one year ago.
“It’s just going to kind of as of now be Artem, Matteo, and I to celebrate Thanksgiving,” she said, noting that they’ve maintained a strong co-parenting partnership.
Nikki made it clear that their priority is simple: ensuring their son Matteo feels supported and loved. “The greatest thing about how we co-parent is Matteo is always first and we are like how can we make things special for him? We set aside everything else and we make things really special for him.”
She says the results speak for themselves. “Everyone who meets Matteo will always say… ‘That’s the happiest kid ever.’”
Nikki credits that happiness to the home environment she and her ex have committed to building. “We’ve done such an incredible job co-parenting. My life coach taught me to teach him how amazing that you get two homes… you get to have a daddy house and a mommy house.”
The two continue to participate in activities together whenever possible, putting any personal differences aside. “As much as we can do things together, we do it. And so he’s always feeling the love. You can’t make it about you or the parents. It’s all about your children.”

But while her co-parenting relationship is stable and healthy, Nikki admits she’s starting to feel ready for something new – specifically, a romantic connection. She reveals that after a long period of healing, she’s finally open to dating again. “I am so open for dating. I’ve started to come to realize… I kind of want attention from a man. I would like that.”
However, she stresses that she’s protective of the rhythm she’s created in her life. “It is crazy because I am really busy and my balance right now is perfect. So I also don’t want someone to come in and I’m like, ‘Ah, you’re ruining my balance. I have it perfect.’”
Her priorities remain the same – Matteo comes before anything else. “Teo will always be first.” And while she hasn’t met anyone yet, she’s allowing the door to open naturally. “No one yet, but we’ll see.”
Nikki adds that with all the changes in her life, one thing she does genuinely miss is the simple spark of connection. “I do. I miss like flirting with someone, you know what I mean? I kind of want to feel that stuff again.”
After Thanksgiving, the WWE Hall of Famer will head to Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 at Petco Park in San Diego, California, this Saturday, where she will face Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship.
