5. WWE Possibly Buying TNA This Week
TNA Wrestling’s Bound For Glory 2016 takes place this Sunday. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, TNA needs fund for this Sunday’s Bound For Glory PPV and for next week’s TV tapings.
So time is running out for TNA and the sale of the company would likely happen by Friday of this week (last business day before Bound For Glory PPV). Word is that WWE is back in play to buying TNA Wrestling. The main motive behind WWE buying TNA would be to acquire their tape library (so they can put it on the WWE Network).
It is being said that the sale has become very complicated and that Dixie Carter can sell it to whomever she wants to. If WWE buys TNA, it would mean that TNA would come to an end. We’ll keep you updated on this situation.
