3. Dolph Ziggler Leaving WWE After No Mercy 2016?
On last night’s episode of SmackDown Live, Dolph Ziggler asked The Miz for one more shot at the Intercontinental Championship and he put his career on the line for it.
A “Title vs. Career” match will now take place at No Mercy 2016, where The Miz will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler, and Ziggler will leave WWE if he loses the match. Miz made it clear that Ziggler won’t be allowed to go to Raw or NXT when he loses, and that he wants Ziggler out of WWE after the loss.
This is interesting as Ziggler’s WWE contract expires next month and he hasn’t re-signed it yet. Ziggler recently noted that he would like to persue other projects when his deal with WWE expires. So Ziggler’s match at No Mercy 2016 could turn out to be his last with WWE.
Below is the updated match card for No Mercy 2016:
– WWE World Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose
– Title vs. Career Match: Intercontinental Champion The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler
– SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Alexa Bliss
– SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match: Rhyno & Heath Slater (c) vs. The Usos
