• NXT Getting A Second Weekly Show?

People within WWE management are currently thinking of having a second weekly NXT show, which they want to be a bit like the EVOLVE independent shows used to be.

We reported yesterday that WWE and MLW are discussing a working relationship these days. WWE reportedly doesn’t like the rep that they don’t work with other wrestling companies, and they want to send their underutilized NXT wrestlers to MLW to get some experience.

The Wrestling Observer had the following to say about a second weekly NXT TV program:

“There is also the idea of creating their own EVOLVE-like group as a weekly streaming show, but this would allow the guys to work on actual television and get more exposure than on Peacock and also seem like they are changing and modernizing.”

WWE purchased EVOLVE in July of 2020 and has since uploaded a lot of their shows to the WWE Network.
