Bob Backlund joined the TNA Total Nonstop Action promotion in January 2007, 7 years after leaving the WWF World Wrestling Federation in 2000.
Backlund defeated Alex Shelley at TNA Slammiversary 2007, but got defeated by the ‘Motor City Machine Guns’ Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin when he teamed with Jerry Lynn at TNA Victory Road 2007.
Backlund left the company soon thereafter and returned to WWE TV in December 2007 during the 15th Anniversary Monday Night RAW Special.
