On this day in Pro Wrestling history in 1987, the World Wrestling Federation held a televised house show at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

This live event aired on the MSG Network and featured Gorilla Monsoon & Gene Okerlund on commentary.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (January 19, 1987) – WWF House Show

On this day in Pro Wrestling history in 1987, the World Wrestling Federation held an untelevised house show at the Pershing Auditorium in Lincoln, Nebraska.

This was the first ever WWF live event in Lincoln and it included matches on the road to ‘WrestleMania III’.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (January 19, 2007) – WWF Legend Passed Away

On this day in 2007, we lost Old School WWF/WCW/ECW Legend “The Beast From The East” Bam Bam Bigelow (Real name: Scott Bigelow) at the age of 45 after a drug overdose.

Bam Bam is still considered one of the greatest ‘Big Men’ (which means chubby/fat wrestlers) in Professional Wrestling history (probably sharing the #1 spot with Big Van Vader).

Bigelow wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation from 1987 until 1988 and again from late 1992 till late 1995.

• WWF Attitude Era Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

WWF Attitude Era Veteran K-Kwik, now better known as PG-Era WWE Superstar R-Truth (Real name: Ron Killings) celebrates his birthday today.

K-Kwik wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) from November 2000 to late 2001, then went to the new founded Total Nonstop Action (TNA, now known as iMPACT Wrestling) as Ron “The Truth” Killings, where he became the first black NWA World Heavyweight Champion, before returning to the now renamed WWE in 2008 as R-Truth.

He’s now the record title holder of the WWE 24/7 Championship, a PG-version successor of the old WWF Hardcore Championship.
