Original Plan For The Fiend’s Universal Title Win, Why It Got Changed Multiple Times

– This leads to Vince telling the creative team to come up with a different finish at Hell In A Cell 2019, with an interference from The Undertaker discussed.

They eventually come up with a “No Contest / Referee Stoppage” finish with the use of Tables, Ladders and Chairs in the process.

– This would’ve led to a rematch between Rollins & Fiend at TLC 2019 PPV in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match and this is where The Fiend would’ve captured the Universal Title.

This match at TLC would’ve happened after Rollins & Lesnar would have faced off at Survivor Series in a Universal Champion vs. WWE Champion match.

– However, the Hell In A Cell 2019 main event ended up being a disaster with huge negative response from the fans. This leads to Vince cancelling the above mentioned plans and decides that The Fiend must capture the Universal Title at Crown Jewel now.

– With that being said, Seth Rollins gets pulled from the Team Hogan vs. Team Flair match (Rollins was announced as the Captain of Team Hogan prior to Hell In A Cell 2019) and gets put in a rematch with The Fiend at Crown Jewel.
