Original Plan For The Fiend’s Universal Title Win, Why It Got Changed Multiple Times

Bray Wyatt Husky Harris The Fiend

– With The Fiend winning the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel, Vince is once again facing the original problem after all this mess – Brock Lesnar vs. The Fiend at Survivor Series 2019.

– WWE now ignores the “Champion vs. Champion” format without giving any explanation and announces that the World Titles will be defended at Survivor Series. The addition of NXT to Survivor Series could be seen as a compensation.

– To make fans forget about the Hell In A Cell disaster, Vince decides to move The Fiend to SmackDown in hopes of the gimmick getting a reboot there (and Rollins remains on RAW). This worked out in the sense that Brock Lesnar already had a feud with Rey Mysterio on RAW, so him coming to RAW made sense.

– This ended up being the complete opposite of what FOX wanted. FOX specifically asked for Brock Lesnar as they wanted a sports feel and Lesnar is the most legitimate athlete WWE has to offer.

– Despite The Fiend being on SmackDown, he still works RAW dark main events as he has RAW tour obligations to fulfil.
