• “Please keep giving us that buzz” – Tony Khan On WWE Being Interested In Top AEW Star

According to Andrew Zarian, USA Network & FOX Officials are very interested in AEW wrestler MJF, and they want WWE to sign him when they get a chance.

Here’s what he reported:

“I have been asked personally by multiple people within FOX & USA Network regarding current AEW roster member MJF, as his program with CM Punk has brought in a new level of interest from non-pro wrestling followers at both networks.

An individual at one of those networks, who has been a very reliable source, told me, ‘I actually stopped what I was doing and listened to him. I don’t think I have done that with pro wrestling in a long time.

He has everything we would want. It really depends on if he could be that same person on WWE TV. We want new stars to be the focus within the next few years. That’s the plan.’”

MJF tweeted the following after reading this:

“The bidding war of 2024.”

MJF is referring to the fact that his All Elite Wrestling contract will expire in 2024.

AEW President Tony Khan was asked about WWE’s interest in MJF during an interview with CBS Sports.

Here’s what Khan said:

“I think that’s great. I encourage that. I think they should keep talking about him because he’s a wrestler that’s a big part of AEW and is signed here for a few more years.

So I think please keep giving us that buzz because he’s been getting great ratings for his segments and those have also been featuring CM Punk pretty regularly as they continue to interact.

They’ve had a war of words and now there’ll be on opposite sides of this huge trios match where you got Sting and Darby Allin teaming with CM Punk against MJF and FTR. I think that’s great.

You know, [WWE] had some wrestlers I really wanted to sign there and I signed him, Bryan Danielson and Adam [Cole] and Ruby Soho.”
