• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (January 20, 1998) – WWF Legend Passed Away

On this day in 1998, we lost Old School WWF Legend “Big” Bobo Brazil (Real name: Houston Harris) at the age of 73 after a series of strokes.

Bobo wrestled for several territories during his career, just like the World Wide Wrestling Federation, Big Time Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions, World Wrestling Association, and Championship Wrestling from Florida.

The former WWWF U.S. Heavyweight Champion and former World Negro Heavyweight Champion was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame (now known as WWE Hall of Fame) in 1994 by his friend “The Big Cat” Ernie Ladd.

• Possible Big Change In WrestleMania 35 Plan For John Cena

As we noted before, the Wrestling Observer noted that WWE officials were planning John Cena vs. Lars Sullivan at WrestleMania 35.

However, with the recent situation involving Lars Sullivan (where he had an anxiety attack, left the WWE tapings and didn’t respond to WWE’s calls), it’s possible that match might be off the table now.

According to Brad Shepard, things aren’t looking good for Lars Sullivan’s WWE main roster push as he might have upset Vince McMahon.

Below is what Brad reported:

“I talked to a source in WWE today about Lars Sullivan: He was supposed to attack John Cena on RAW. Plans changed with him not being there and they had to completely re-shuffle Cena’s schedule over this.

I was told Vince doesn’t like unreliable guys, whether it’s a valid condition or excuse. It’s definitely still possible that Lars jumps Cena soon and the feud begins, but it was made clear to me that he has ‘screwed this up so far.’”

According to Slice Wrestling, WWE officials are now talking about a possible WWE Championship match between Daniel Bryan and John Cena at WrestleMania 35. It should be noted that WWE officials are only discussing this idea, and it’s not confirmed that this match is going to go down.

We’ll keep you updated regarding plans for Cena at WrestleMania 35.
