• Possible Spoiler On Edge’s SummerSlam 2021 Opponent
As we have reported before, WWE Hall Of Famer Edge will have a match at SummerSlam 2021 on August 21st.
WWE has announced that the Rated-R Superstar will be returning on the July 16th episode of SmackDown, which will be the first WWE TV show with fans in attendance ever since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
While Edge’s SummerSlam opponent is not known yet, Jon Alba is reporting that Edge will be a part of a SmackDown brand match at the PPV and he will work as a babyface (which most likely means he’ll be facing a heel opponent).
We’re being told that Edge vs. Seth Rollins is currently being discussed for SummerSlam 2021.
The history between these two men dates back to 2014, when Rollins threatened to break Edge’s neck if John Cena didn’t agree to put The Authority back in power.
Edge got a little payback on Rollins during the Men’s Royal Rumble 2020 match, but their interaction during the match was very short. Edge eliminated Rollins from the Men’s Royal Rumble 2021 match earlier this year.
Edge was last seen in WWE on April 11, in the main event of WrestleMania 37 (Night 2). He was hit with a Con-Chair-To and pinned (along with Daniel Bryan) by Roman Reigns.
Rollins is currently feuding with Cesaro and they’re set to face off in a WrestleMania 37 rematch (where Cesaro defeated Rollins) this Sunday at the Hell In A Cell 2021 pay-per-view.
