5. WWE Raw Viewership Down Again, What Happened After Raw Went Off The Air?
This week’s episode of Raw drew 2.68 million viewers. This is down from last week’s 2.69 million viewers. It should be noted that Raw viewership is being affected by NFL Monday Night Football (which drew more than 12 million viewers this past Monday night).
The main event of this week’s Raw was a Steel Cage main event between WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens & Roman Reigns. Reigns won the match by climbing the cage and then escaping it. Owens was escaping through the cage door but Roman’s feet touched the floor one second before Owens’ did.
Rusev came out after the match and attacked the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and this eventually turned into a double team attack by Owens & Rusev. This led to Seth Rollins make his way out as he climbed the cage and hit a crossbody on both men from the top of the cage.
After Raw went off the air, Owens & Rusev returned to attack Rollins & Reigns in the ring. Owens went for the Pop-Up Powerbomb on Rollins but Rollins countered and ended up hitting a Pedigree. Reigns ended things by hitting a Spear on Rusev to end the night.
