1. Update On The SummerSlam Rematch Between Brock Lesnar & Randy Orton
The SummerSlam 2016 rematch between Brock Lesnar & Randy Orton will take place this Saturday night at a WWE Live Event in Chicago and will possibly be the main event of the night.
The reason behind this PPV main event worthy match taking place at a Live Event is that WWE wanted Lesnar to work this live event in Chicago & Lesnar agreed. Lesnar then got to choose his opponent based on the Sueprstars which weren’t booked for a match that night and had drawing power. This led to him choosing Orton.
Another reason for this match taking place at a Live Event is that there’s a different pay for Lesnar when he works a Live Event and when he works a PPV event (as PPV matches are lenghty & quality matches while Live Event matches for Lesnar are generally squash matches).
Heyman promoted the match in a video posted by The Allstate Arena where he noted that Orton needed a doctor after their match at SummerSlam, now he’ll need a priest. You can watch Heyman’s promo below:
