Possible WrestleMania 34 Match Plans For Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey

As we noted before, former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey is training with former WWE Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick for a WWE match. As of now, two plans have been pitched for Rousey wrestling in WWE – a UFC Four Horsewomen vs. WWE Four Horsewomen match, or a singles match with Stephanie McMahon.

Ronda facing Stephanie in a singles match was the original plan after their WrestleMania 31 segment, but with WWE officials focusing on women much more now, it’s possible that he Four Horsewomen of both WWE & UFC end up battling at WrestleMania 34. It should be noted that there was an angle played between these two groups at the Mae Young Classic tapings and another angle is being planned between them at the finals of the Mae Young Classic on September 12th in Las Vegas.

During a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Shayna Baszler (one of the UFC’s Four Horsewomen and a competitor in the Mae Young Classic) had the following to say about Ronda possibly giving WWE a try:

“Ronda’s a natural athlete. Just learning a different rule set and bringing what she has from MMA would be the same, does her judo translate to MMA, will her MMA translate to pro wrestling? She’s been pretty successful one way, and I think she’ll be pretty successful the other way. Ronda’s one of those people that when she learns something, she goes in hard. If she wants to pursue this, she should pursue this …to where she would be one of the best, so we’ll see.”
