2. The Last Battle of Atlanta Has Been Discovered!
The single rarest Professional Wrestling match in history seems to have finally found it’s way to the WWE Network. How? Well, nobody exactly knows how they found it, but it has been confirmed that it will be uploaded to the Network on Tuesday, September 6th 2016.
The Last Battle of Atalanta happened on October 23, 1983 at the Omni in Atlanta, GA infront of 10,000 fans, and featured “Wildfire” Tommy Rich finally defeating his archnemesis “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer in the first ever enclosed cage match (14 years before the first ever Hell in a Cell match). Manager Paul Ellering was suspended 20 ft. above the cage in a small cage of his own.
This match is considered the Holy Grail among tape traders & the DVD-R trading community.
