4. Ronda Rousey Asked About Her WWE In-Ring Status

Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey was interviewed by Cathy Kelley at the Mae Young Classic Red Carpet and she was asked about her WWE in-ring status. Rousey refused to comment and noted how this night isn’t about her and how tonight belongs to her friend Shayna Baszler. You can watch the interview below:

After the finale of the Mae Young Classic came to an end, Rousey was interviewed by ESPN and was asked about her group’s name and her future. Below are the highlights:

On how her group got named “Four Horsewomen”:

“We were all sitting on the couch and some fans were asking for the picture, to recreate the iconic Four Horsemen picture. We were like, ‘What do we have around the house?

We got two belts, we got a medal, we got a machete. We can do this!’ We didn’t know at that moment that it would turn into something. It wasn’t something we named ourselves, it was a name the fans gave to us and we’re very grateful for it.”

On what’s next for her:

“I don’t want to come to Shayna’s event on Shayna’s night and sit here talk about myself. I want to keep tonight all about her. Go Shayna Baszler!”
