• Reason Behind WWE Doing Brock Lesnar vs. Kofi Kingston On SmackDown’s Debut On FOX

As seen on this week’s SmackDown, “The Beast” Brock Lesnar returned and challenged Kofi Kingston to a WWE Championship match on SmackDown’s 20th anniversary episode (which will also be SmackDown’s debut on FOX) on October 4th.

Lesnar then laid out Kofi with a vicious F5. You can watch it below:

According to the Wrestling Observer, FOX wants a ‘sports feel’ on SmackDown and that’s why WWE booked Lesnar (who is the most legitimate athlete in WWE) in the main event of the first SmackDown on FOX.

Another reason Lesnar will be on the show is because FOX wanted Ronda Rousey, but she’s on a hiatus.

Both Lesnar & Rousey are former UFC Champions and mainstream stars, so Lesnar is going to be the main attraction on SmackDown for a while now.
