As we all know, WWE was sold to UFC’s parent company Endeavor for $9.3 billion earlier this year.
On a recent episode of his weekly ‘The Kurt Angle Show’ podcast, our Olympic Hero spoke about the potential of there being some sort of crossover between the 2 promotions with UFC fighters appearing on WWE TV, but only after they retire from active (full-time) mixed-martial-arts.
Here’s what Kurt Angle said:
“I know Dana White is very hellbent on not allowing his fighters to go into pro-wrestling, so I think that’s going to be one obstacle they’re going to have to overcome.
But I do believe that the fighters who are going to retire are going to move over to pro-wrestling in WWE.
But I don’t see fighters crossing over to wrestling while they’re in their prime.
I do believe when they’re done fighting, I do believe they’re going to go to pro-wrestling just like Ronda Rousey did, just like Brock Lesnar did.”
Are we going to see Conor McGregor in a WWE ring within the next few years? He’s already teasing a match against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2023 (tap here to read).
