• Riddle On What Conor McGregor Would Need To Do To Become A WWE Superstar
Despite never saying anything about such plans himself, there were always rumors for the past several years that UFC Legend Conor McGregor might actually consider a future in professional wrestling and become a WWE Superstar, once his mixed-martial-arts career is over.
Those loose rumors came up based on his ability to cut an unscripted promo on his opponents, an important element in pro-wrestling and a lost art nowadays, as most promos are scripted.
Current WWE Superstar Riddle, who is also a former UFC fighter himself, was interviewed by SK Wrestling and was asked about McGregor possibly joining the WWE at some point in the future.
Here’s what Riddle answered:
“Do I think he’d be a good fit for WWE? If he’s willing to do the work and work hard and put his time in, yes, yes, just like Ronda was good…just like I was good.”
During a recent interview with ViBe & Wrestling, Mr. Money In The Bank Big E was asked the same question, and here’s what he replied:
“I assume that Conor will continue to fight in the UFC. As far as his ability to crossover, I will never roll my eyes or be angry at a celebrity or an athlete from another sport getting opportunities in WWE. I don’t run this company and wasting any time or energy about who’s brought in or who’s hired, it’s a waste.
As far as his crossover ability, if you ask your neighbor who this is, there’s a good chance they’re gonna know Conor McGregor, so yeah, I would never have a problem with that.
Not everyone would welcome him or feel the same, but he’s extremely entertaining, and I think if he did come to WWE, I think he would get a lot of attention.”
