On this day in 1997, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW Worldwide’.
This episode was pre-taped from the Disney MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Fall Brawl 1997’ PPV.

• Roman Reigns Set For Major Push After Return At WWE SummerSlam 2020
As seen at the end of tonight’s SummerSlam 2020 pay-per-view, Roman Reigns returned to WWE and destroyed new Universal Champion, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, and the former champion, Braun Strowman.
The direction for The Big Dog seems clear, as he’s set to go after the Universal Championship.
WrestlingNewsco is reporting that the return of Reigns was kept a secret from almost everyone.
They also noted that Vince McMahon wants Reigns to have an “edge” to him and what they are doing now with him is what was originally planned for WrestleMania 36 and beyond but those plans were put on hold when Reigns went home because of COVID-19 concerns.
Reigns is set to take Title off from The Fiend, and it may happen as soon as next Sunday at Payback. Whether it’ll be a singles match or a Triple-Threat match involving Strowman is unknown yet.
