4. Roman Reigns Suspended For 30 Days, Update on Why He Lost The Title
Former 3 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns has been suspended for 30 days due to his first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. Below is what WWE posted:
STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE has suspended Joe Anoa`i (Roman Reigns) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.
Below is what Reigns tweeted regarding the suspension:
I apologize to my family, friends and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy. No excuses. I own it.

Dave Meltzer recently noted that Reigns lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money In The Bank 2016 as his Live Event numbers were drawing only a bit higher than Dean Ambrose’s Live Event numbers. However, that’s not the case.
WWE officials knew about Roman failing the Wellness Policy prior to Money In The Bank 2016 and that’s the reason behind Reigns dropping the Title.
It should be noted that WWE live event numbers have been on a decline ever since John Cena got injured, as he’s still the top drawing full time talent in the company. Also, it’s a known fact that no one in WWE is even close to drawing the same amount of numbers as Cena does.
The Triple Threat WWE World Heavyweight Title match at Battleground 2016 between Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns is still on.
