We are live from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri for tonight’s Royal Rumble 2022 premiere live event.
This is the 35th Royal Rumble event. Below is tonight’s match-card:

– Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins
– RAW Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Doudrop
– Edge & Beth Phoenix vs. The Miz & Maryse
– Men’s Royal Rumble Match
– Women’s Royal Rumble Match
There was no match on the Kickoff Show and the Main Show begins with the Universal Championship match.
Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who has been the champion for 516 days, makes his way out first. Out next is Seth Rollins, who comes out to The Shield theme song, through the crowd in Shield attire. Roman isn’t happy.

Seth is dominating Roman in this match. He powerbombs Roman through the announce table.
In the ring, he hits a Buckle Bomb, followed by a Stomp! Rollins goes for the cover, but Roman kicks out.
Rollins puts Roman in a submission hold, but Roman picks him up while being in the hold and powerbombs him!

Reigns hits Rollins with a Superman Punch and goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out.
Reigns hits Rollins with a Spear outside the ring. Reigns throws Rollins in the ring and goes for another Spear, but Rollins counters it into a Pedigree! Rollins goes for the cover, but Reigns kicks out!
Reigns spears Rollins again and Rollins is laughing and saying he loves Roman.
Seth wants a Fist Pump, but Roman locks in the Guillotine Chokehold. Seth manages to reach the bottom rope.
However, Roman refuses to let go and the referee rings the bell.
Seth Rollins def. Roman Reigns (c) via DQ, Roman is still the Universal Champion
Roman attacked Seth with a Steel Chair after the match, in the same way Rollins hit him in 2014 when he broke up The Shield.
