• Ryback Comments On Dolph Ziggler’s Rumored $1.5 Million Contract (Which Is Incorrect)
During a recent edition of Conversation With The Big Guy podcast, fomer WWE Superstar Ryback talked about Dolph Ziggler’s rumored $1.5 million contract (which is incorrect), Rich Swann being released from WWE & more.
Below are the highlights:
On Dolph Ziggler’s rumored $1.5 million contract (which is incorrect):
“They don’t lose interest in Dolph Ziggler, it is all by design every time. If you are not in that inner circle of guys that they want there, it doesn’t matter how good and popular you are; some people have a hard time with that. People that are not there have no f**ing clue.
They can speculate all they want, they’re just outsiders buying tickets and watching it on TV. I have no idea; I don’t talk with him about that stuff. The number he received seems very high because they like to essentially get indie guys and pay them as little as possible.
There is a business strategy to what they are doing and where they have gone in that direction, but he has also put in his time, and is also at a point where it is all about money, and how they are going to use him, I hope he is making that kind of money because it is all fake, and sometimes you sacrifice what people think about you for money, but if he is happy with that I am happy for him.”
On Rich Swann being released from WWE:
“Unfortunate for Rich Swann that he was released, but the domestic dispute charges were dropped I believe. Once a story comes out, he is one of those where there may never be another chance again, or they may bring him back in another year. It is an unfortunate situation, but it is what it is.”
• Rumor Killer On Top WWE Star’s WrestleMania 34 Match In Jeopardy
WWE has been doing an injury angle at WWE Live Events with WWE Champion AJ Styles as of late. This led to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer speculating that Styles’ WrestleMania 34 match with Shinsuke Nakamura could be in jeopardy as the match is only 3 weeks away.
However, that’s not the case.
According to DirtySheets.Net, Styles has nagging injuries for a few months now, including a calf injury that worsened during the WWE Title match at FastLane 2018 PPV.
This is the reason why WWE has been doing an injury angle with Styles at WWE Live Events as of late, so Styles can have some rest and heal in-time for WrestleMania 34.
Styles vs. Nakamura match is not in jeopardy. If anything changes, we’ll let you know.
Below is what WWE posted about Styles-Nakamura storyline ahead of tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live:
“Though he emerged from WWE Fastlane’s wild Six-Pack Challenge with his WWE Championship, AJ Styles found out quickly that The Road to WrestleMania promises to be challenging.
After enduring a two-on-one beating at the hands of Rusev & Aiden English, Styles was saved by an unlikely Superstar: Shinsuke Nakamura, his WrestleMania opponent. With their WWE Championship dream match just three weeks away, will the two have to watch each other’s backs to ensure that their dream match becomes a reality?”
