• Old School WWF Valet Would Have Celebrated Her Birthday

Today would have been the 62nd birthday of Old School WWF Legend “Sensational” Sherri (Real name: Sherri Russell).

During her career Sherri Martel most famously worked for the World Wrestling Federation (1987-1993) and Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1994-1997), but also appeared in Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling (1993-1994) and Verne Gagne’s American Wrestling Association (1985-1987).

She wasn’t only a former WWF Women’s Champion, but is also still considered one of the greatest female managers / valets of all time.

Among Sherri’s most famous clients were “The Macho King” Randy Savage, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Harlem Heat.

In 2006, Sherri Martel was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by her former on-screen client, Ted DiBiase.

• Rusev In A Contract Dispute With WWE, Paul Heyman Trying To Convince Him To Stay

According to the Wrestling Observer, Rusev hasn’t been featured on RAW as of late because he’s in a contract dispute with WWE.

We might not see the conclusion of his storyline with Bobby Lashley until this dispute is settled.

According to Tom Colohue, RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman is doing everything he can to convince him to stay:

“Rusev has been very honest. He’s worn down his contract, if he’s unhappy, he has the option to go, and there would be nothing stopping him from doing that. He’s been very professional throughout the whole process.

Since Paul Heyman took over on RAW, it’s been a mission of his to convince Rusev that it is worth staying with the WWE. Whether he’s been successful or not, we’ll find out soon.

But when it comes to how much RAW has improved, if anyone could convince someone, it’s Paul Heyman.”
