Below are a couple of WWE & AEW news stories:

– In the finals of the United States Championship tournament on a recent episode of SmackDown, Rey Mysterio got hurt during his match with Santos Escobar, which resulted in Escobar winning the match via referee stoppage.

Now, Santos has revealed what exactly happened to the 2023 WWE Hall of Famer during this match.

Below is what the LWO member said during an interview with Steve Fall on Ten Count:

“The show that you got was the show that it was going to be. I believe that it is important to present a good show and I believe that was the case that night.

Rey and I went hard, that’s what we agreed upon. We have a long relationship, we have a bond. When you have that, you go hard. That’s what happens when you go hard.

He had a small, mild concussion, but he came back and you know what happened.”

– WWE WrestleMania 40 tickets went on sale recently and WWE already smashed all their past records during the sale.

More than 90,000 tickets were sold in just one day, for the two-day event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in April 2024.

On the same day, AEW All In at the Wembley Stadium in UK which will take place this Sunday, surpassed WrestleMania 32’s paid attendance record of 80,709 (total attendance: 101,763, which included ushers and ticket takers).

AEW World Champion MJF took to Twitter to comment on WWE and AEW setting gate records and said that it is a win for pro wrestling and its fans.

He also went on to call it a win for himself as he will be a free agent in 2024 and thinks both companies earning more means they will be willing to shell out more money for him during the “Bidding War Of 2024”.

“Both companies setting attendance/gates records left and right.

Pro wrestling is winning.

The fans are winning.

But most importantly and I think we can all agree on this, I’m winning. #Betterthanyou”

MJF will pull double duty at All In as he will team up with Adam Cole to challenge Aussie Open for the ROH World Tag Team Championship on the Zero Hour of the show. He will defend the AEW World Championship against Cole in the main event later that night.
