With WWE’s merger with UFC coming up next month, there have been rumors going around that the company will release some employees in order to make budget cuts.

Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel has stated in the past that budget cuts will be made to avoid redundancy.

WWE will probably let go people from departments which Endeavor already has to replace current WWE employees with Endeavor employees.

PWInsider reports that there is a sense of “gloom and doom” among the office employees at the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

Many employees feel that if they are not a part of the production team or involved with the WWE talent, then they aren’t safe from being released.

It was also noted that the expected releases have been a big topic of conversation among those working at the WWE Headquarters.

It’s unknown if these upcoming budget cuts will affect wrestlers. WWE decided to not renew Ronda Rousey and Lacey Evans’ contracts which expired recently, though.

Speaking of WWE & UFC, Dana White shot down reports of Rousey coming back to fight in the Octagon:

“There’s no shot. She’s accomplished everything she set out to do. Her dream was to win a UFC Championship, then win a WWE Championship, and she’s done it.

Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money, and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships.”
