• Shane McMahon’s Replacement In WWE Revealed
Ever since his return to WWE in 2016, Shane McMahon was used as a special attraction (part-time) talent for the big PPV shows.
His first return match in 2016 was against The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 32.
Shane’s return that year helped increase a lot of WWE Network subscriptions, so WWE knew Shane O’Mac was good for business, so they kept booking him in PPV matches every now & then.
However, earlier this year, after his appearance in the Men’s Royal Rumble 2022 match, he was sent home by Vince McMahon after a backstage disagreement.
WWE has found Shane O’Mac’s replacement – SmackDown Commentator Pat McAfee.
Officials in WWE are really happy that not only Pat has a mainstream following (which they hope to convert to WWE fans), he can also hold his own in the ring.
Pat’s first match on the WWE main roster took place at WrestleMania 38 earlier this year, where he defeated Austin Theory. His second match took place on the same night, in which he lost to Vince McMahon. He also got stunned by Stone Cold Steve Austin.
His 3rd WWE main roster match will take place at SummerSlam 2022 on July 30th, where he will face Happy Corbin.

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 18, 2007, NWA Total Nonstop Action! aired their 5th weekly LIVE PPV from the TNA Asylum (Tennessee State Fairgrounds) in Nashville, Tennessee.
Old School WWF Attitude Era Legend Ken Shamrock was still the NWA World Heavyweight Champion at this point.
