• Shawn Michaels Came Out Of Retirement On A Special Request By “Other People”, Didn’t Do It For Money

During a recent appearance on E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels talked about coming out of retirement at WWE Crown Jewel for a tag team bout.

Michaels gave the following reason for coming out of retirement:

“So look one upside is it’s just one of those things I’m curious about, you know can I do my stuff? So technically, yeah I could go in there and do my stuff and have a young guy work around me and all that, but the 100% only reason I said yes to this one was it was a special request by other people and again, I look at it as somebody has the Rolling Stones and KISS to come over and play their greatest hits.”

The “other people” Shawn is referring to are most likely Saudi Arabia officials.

HBK also noted during his appearance that he didn’t do it for the money and that he would’ve made way more money if he returned for a match at WrestleMania, he still got paid $3 million for wrestling at WWE Crown Jewel PPV!
