• Shawn Michaels Gets A Promotion In WWE

2-Time WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels began working as a Trainer at the WWE Performance Center in 2016.

In 2018, he began working as a Writer & Producer in NXT.

In 2021, he became the Head Of Creative for NXT 2.0 and began running the day-to-day operations of WWE’s developmental brand because Triple H was dealing with his heart issues at that time.

Now, HBK has been promoted to “WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative”, as confirmed in a new WWE press release.

This comes after Michaels’ best friend Triple H recently became the Head Of Creative in WWE and Stephanie McMahon became the co-CEO of WWE along with Nick Khan.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (August 18, 1997) – Old School Wrestling Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 1997, we lost Old School Wrestling Veteran “The Final Solution” Jeep Swenson (Real name: Robert Swenson Jr.) at the age of 40 due to heart failure.

After making a name for himself in Fritz Von Erich’s WCCW World-Class Championship Wrestling territory as “The Mercenary” Jeep Swenson, and a stint in the later GWF Global Wrestling Federation, he was brought into Ted Turner’s WCW World Championship Wrestling in 1996 as “The Final Solution” to join “The Alliance to End Hulkamania”, consisting of The Four Horsemen, The Dungeon of Doom & Z-Gangsta (fka Zeus).

After Jewish organisations grouched about Jeep’s new name, WCW President Eric Bischoff decided to slightly change it to “The Ultimate Solution”.

Jeep Swenson also had roles in quite a few Hollywood movies, for example playing “Lugwrench” Perkins in ‘No Holds Barred’ and playing Bane in the famous 1997 movie ‘Batman & Robin’.
