Shawn Michaels Regrets Coming Out Of Retirement

Shawn Michaels Returns WWE Crown Jewel PPV Saudi Arabia 2018

• Shawn Michaels Regrets Coming Out Of Retirement

During a recent interview with New York Post, two time WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels talking about coming out of retirement for a tag team match in 2018.

At WWE Crown Jewel 2018, D-Generation X (Triple H & Shawn Michaels) defeated Brothers Of Destruction (The Undertaker & Kane) in a first-time ever match. DX was then inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame a few months later, thus making HBK a two-time WWE Hall Of Famer.

Below are the highlights from this interview:

If he regrets coming out of retirement:

“I do. I had no idea that from Mark’s (Undertaker’s) standpoint he was looking at it as that might be the one he could walk away on. That’s something I think to myself now. Oh my goodness, I wish I’d have known that.”

Why he came out of retirement:

“For me it was fun. It was a chance for me to be with my buddies. All I can do is apologize to the guys.”

Why he doesn’t want another match (since this Tag Team match from Crown Jewel gets a lot of criticism online):

“I think people have always been kind of confused with my peace and joy with the way I did things. And that somehow there should be something nagging at me, something left unfinished.

I think it’s hard for people to not always see me as Shawn Michaels. I see the entire picture. And I know the guy who started as a 200-pound guy that wasn’t supposed to make it.

So for me, I compare that to what I did get the opportunity to do and it’s hard not to be happy about that.”

As we have noted before, Shawn Michaels was paid $3 million for wrestling at WWE Crown Jewel 2018.
