The SmackDown World Cup will begin on tonight’s episode. So far, WWE has confirmed only 2 names for this tournament: Shinsuke Nakamura and Santos Escobar.
Nakamura vs. Escobar in a 1st round match will take place on tonight’s show.
According to PWInsider, below are the other 6 names that will be a part of this tournament:
– Braun Strowman
– Rey Mysterio
– Jinder Mahal
– Sami Zayn
– Butch
– Ricochet
The winner of the World Cup will earn an Intercontinental Championship match against Gunther.
WWE has also announced the following for tonight’s post-Crown Jewel episode of SmackDown:
– The Usos (c) vs. The New Day for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
– New Challenger to SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will be determined in a 6-Pack Challenge
