“Stone Cold” Steve Austin
The latest edition of The Steve Austin Show turned out to be a controversial one as many questions were asked in regards to the WWE Hall of Fame 2015 Ceremony.
Since the day news about Kevin Nash being inducted in HOF as Diesel went viral over the internet, it was followed with a rumor that he might headline this year’s Hall of Fame event. Most fans have been wondering why did the WWE not choose “Macho Man” Randy Savage over him.
But according to Austin, the WWE’s decision “made sense” and was very wisely thought of. Austin even went on sharing his memories of having worked with Macho Man in his only 4 minutes match where he “did the favors”, and further praised Savage’s work with Jerry “The King” Lawler in the USWA.

He also bemoaned the fact that he never got a chance to work with Savage when both of them were in their primes. During the latter half of the show, Austin reluctantly delved deeper into the question and said:
“This was a rumor today, a story that had been teased that Kevin Nash is that guy. It seems what you’re asking me is, ‘Shouldn’t Macho Man Randy Savage be the headliner and not Kevin Nash?’… It’s gonna be haywire when they put him in because everybody knows that he should have been in a long time ago. The thing about putting him in as the headliner … I think you want the headliner to be someone who can be present and speak for themselves. Now I say that with respect. I believe Hulk Hogan is gonna introduce Randy into the Hall of Fame, but I’m thinking that it’s gonna be Randy’s brother, Lanny Poffo, who will be receiving the ring and doing the acceptance speech for Randy Savage. Of course, Lanny Poffo is very articulate, very eloquent, and it’s a very special occasion for Randy Savage and the whole Poffo Family. But I think, in this case, you know, and it’s gonna be a feel-good moment that he’s in. Everybody will love it. But I think when you’re going in front of a bunch of people, the best case scenario is to have someone who is alive and present and can cut a promo and talk in their own right, and that’s ‘Big Sexy’ Kevin Nash. I think that’s the thinking on that.”
